Co-operative Seniors!
The whole Senior Team was outside, inside, everywhere around the senior block this afternoon. We spilt into our camp Challenge Groups and participated in a variety of co-operative activities. We had a wonderful time getting to know our group members and problem solve the challenges.

Friday Wk 9...
Don't forget next Friday is our Silver Enviro School judging day. It is the day where they will decide if we move from bronze to silver. It would be a lovely gift to farewell Mr Wheeler, our Eco Warrior with.
What's in the hen house?
Ben's Hen
The world's best hen visited MSS today. Her name was Brownie and we all loved her. She is Ben's pet and is about 18 months old. Brownie was very friendly and enjoyed being petted by everyone.

While the Year 6's are away!!!
With the Yr 6 students off-site having a look at Feilding Intermediate School as an option for their Yr 7 schooling, Room H and some imports had great fun creating this co-operative art activity. The criteria was it had to be colourful with rainbow or enviro themes. Didn't they do a great job!

Making Origami Hearts
Today I had my teach the teacher. I taught the class and Ms Todd how to make origami hearts out of coloured paper. I enjoyed helping people when they were unsure. The hearts were a decent size and they would be great for a present. All of the hearts turned out to be amazing!
Room H's Matariki Stars!
For Matariki Room H made beautiful stars.
First we started by making our stars out of white paper.
Once our stars where finished, we ruled them into sections and drew different zentangles in each section with pencil.
After we finished with the pencil we went over with vivid.
We all wrote four or five sentences of why we are stars.
Next we dyed each section one of three colours of our choice. After that we got a black square piece of paper and ruled even lines across the paper.
Next we wrote our sentences on the ruled lines in pencil then we went over with metallic silver sharpie.
Next we had to stick our stars on making it look kind of 3D, so we used double sided tape for a good effect.
Finally after that was done, we went round with bright, vibrant coloured chalk pastels around the stars and border and smudged them to make them stand out.
Room H did really well with this art project - they look outstanding on the wall.
