Digital Art - Forced perspective

Today Room S got the opportunity to use their green hat thinking and think outside the box with photography. Each student was given a piece of a photo, then they had to find the rest of their group by making the photo. Once the photo was made they then had to go and have ago at recreating their photo. How? That's where the green hat thinking came into it. Some groups were really successful, some groups weren't. But we all learned a lot about taking forced perspective photos. We can't wait until next time.

Before school in Rm I

There are many reasons why Mrs Palmer thinks we are wonderful, we are a super class! Here is one of them. This is all of us playing in the room before school. We are an amazing group of students!

Chuchitta the amazing chinchilla

A beautiful pet visited some of our classes today. It was Chuchitta the chinchilla. He belongs to the Palmers and is 8 years old. He has beautiful soft fur. 80 + hairs in each follicle! He ran round sniffed us and tried to escape.

Wk 3 Winners

The wonderful members of Rm I that received certificates this week were:
Trident, Kaden, Jacob, Quinn and Hunter T.

Gemma makes magic crystals....

Gemma had a fascinating Teach the Teacher session. With Borax ( a household cleaning product), water and food colouring she grew pure crystals!
She also gave us some of the science behind these amazing formations.
. A crystal is made of molecules of a product that come together in a repeated pattern
. The size and shape of the crystal depends on the amount of Borax you dissolve in the water and the rate at which the water cools.

Intrepid Journey...

This afternoon the flight crew from the Rainbow Airlines took the senior students on a flight around the world. This lucky group of passengers flew to Chile, Finland, Spain, Egypt and Japan. They were in the safe hands of the experienced cabin crew but also flying under the duo Captain Ward and Co-pilot Crib who seemed less safe as they snacked, gossiped and left the auto pilot to fly their passengers around the world.
It was a fascinating journey and a great ignition activity to kick off our new Inquiry topic: Intrepid Journey.
Fabulous cabin crew Todd, Burtenshaw and Ellis attempt to keep the pilots focused!
