Gemma makes magic crystals....

Gemma had a fascinating Teach the Teacher session. With Borax ( a household cleaning product), water and food colouring she grew pure crystals!

She also gave us some of the science behind these amazing formations.

. A crystal is made of molecules of a product that come together in a repeated pattern

. The size and shape of the crystal depends on the amount of Borax you dissolve in the water and the rate at which the water cools.
