Honey- I shrunk the kids...

Probably this movie reference is too old for you all!
However in Rm I we shrunk Conrad! Now he is mini Conrad. It is something we are trialing as a way to fit more children in rooms. Watch out, it could be coming to a class near you!
Check Conrad out below.

Kids for Kids Concert 2015

Congratulations to all the talented singers who performed at this concert. A lot of hard work and practice went into the final amazing performance.
Special congratulations to Ella and Brooke who were chosen by the organisers to perform solos! Really proud of you both.
The school enjoyed the choir's song in assembly on Friday.

Cyber Safety- Great Info for Parents

staying_safe_online

This is a link for a brilliant booklet about online safety for parents like me who don't know all the ins and outs of the many online applications our children use. It is a booklet you can download as a PDF etc.

Alex helps with Rm I's Classroom Management?

Alex's Mum had been on a tropical holiday and brought him home a souvenir. It was a club that had its origins in cannibalism! It was a light weight show version but Rm I were fascinated.

Mrs Palmer thought it might be an effective tool for classroom management but sadly Alex made sure it went home with him at the end of the day!

Quinn finds a fishy friend...

Quinn enjoyed an extended weekend this week.  While we were all slaving away at school Quinn and his sister were playing on the beach! There they found something quite scary... a shark! (Luckily it was dead). Quinn was lucky enough to get a tooth from it. He brought it in to show us all.

Rm I hard at work?!

This wet Friday afternoon found us at our desks working on our final Winter Warmers and our Doodle for Google images. Suddenly it started hailing and before Mrs Palmer knew it, there wasn't a single bottom still in their chair. Everyone was lined up at the windows looking at the weather!

Quiet time in Rm I

Every Friday straight after play we do our Buddy Spelling. Some of us are very efficient and if we are quick we get a little bit of self chosen activity time. Today we all went for chess. Look how quiet and focused we all were. Mrs Palmer hated to stop us but there is always more work to be done...

Play School in Rm I...

Knock, knock, turn the lock...It's Big Ted and Little Ted!
Little Ted, AKA: Max, visited Rm I today to meet Big Ted. He'd heard a lot about him and found out the wonderful Rm I had him visiting for the second time this year.
They had some wonderful chats together and Big Ted admired Little Ted's suave outfit. Little Ted thinks Big Ted is lucky to live at the Rainbow School and have 400+ friends!

Stevie visits the capital for some Disney on Ice

In the weekend Stevie went to Disney on Ice in Wellington. She loved the performance and was even lucky enough to get some pricey souvenirs. However her Mum drew the line at paying $18 for candy floss!!!
Stevie was telling Big Ted that she wished he came too!

More Rm I Sport Stars...

The Rm I netball and swimming champions! Well done Maia and Charlotte!
