Worth the effort!

Congratulations to all the people who entered the ICAN poster competition. There were so many fantastic entries it would have been really hard for the judges to choose. Amy came to assembly today to share the good news with the whole school and who won at different age groups.
You can see by her outstanding poster why Bonnie came first in the senior category. For her clear message and supporting art work she received a $100 voucher.
Well done to everyone.

Responding  to bullies is something you need to think carefully about.
The "target" should try not to give away their power. Bullies do it for power. If you respond in a certain way you can give them your power. That's what they want - THE POWER!!
There are many different situations and not one answer. Even though there is ....tell someone. You may need to try different people until you find someone you can talk to. You shouldn't have to deal with this alone.

Co-operation and teamwork are an important part of our learning.

Working together on our posters needed lots of discussion and teamwork.
During our Bystander Education lesson with Amy and Lewis we got a better understanding about how a person feels, thinks and acts when bullying occurs.
It's good to have a better definition of bullying, being mean or being rude.
We are looking forward to the third lesson next week.
