Today Madie and Abbey created fluffy slime in front of us. It was quite the process and we were enthralled. We are all planning to make our own.

The ingredients are:
Shaving Foam

Food colouring

Lotion
Water

Talk to the girls if you want the recipe to make your own.

St Johns First Aid in Schools

The whole school has been very lucky to have participated in this excellent programme this week..Our students learnt how to bandage, be a first response rescuer, do CPR and how to call emergency services.  This programme is very generously sponsored by ASB Bank so there was no cost to students or the school.  Every senior student received an ASB First Aid Kit as well!  Here are Room H with theirs following their session.

FUN IN THE SUN

Friday was a great time for Room H to get together with our Room C buddies for an enthusiastic and competitive game of "rob the nest".

MC Escher is the Tessellation King!

Whilst we wouldn't argue that MC Escher is not the best Rm I have been doing some pretty cool tessellations also. If you want to give designing one a go watch the video below and get creative!

Junior Cross Country

Yesterday afternoon before Team Assembly the Seniors enjoyed some sunshine on the field as we supported our buddy classes and siblings. They were very enthusiastic and displayed lots of talent as they raced around the track. Well done to the Leadership Team, great support!

Camp Celebration

Mr Ward shows us how it's done
Careful hands...
Today the Senior Team had their Camp Celebration. Mr Ward had the mammoth task of putting together the movies and pictures from camp. (About a million!) Between the slides we competed, in our challenge groups, in a variety of Minute to Win It challenges the teachers had organised  for possible wet weather activities at camp. It was an awesome session with lots of laughs and happy memories of camp!
Jayden wins the pong challenge
How many m&ms can you suck in a straw?
Stocking bowling, nice hats!
Balloon challenge, need another arm?

Isaiah Teaches the Teacher

Today I bought in my card making set. I got some for Christmas and then some more for my birthday. Everyone in my room made a card. I have stamps, stickers, special paper, scissors, glue and everything I need to make beautiful cards.

Spring Chicks

Spring has arrived and so have the Enviro Kids' chicks! There are 6 little chickens in the Senior block who will be moving out to the coop at the end of term. Feel free to organise a visit with your class.
