Robotic World Champs USA 2017

To follow our USA Vex IQ World Championship Trip in chronological order, start at the very bottom of this blog...

Grand final!

Our alliance held their composure to score an impressive 65 points in the division final. Not quite enough to go through to the grand final but a perfect score for the design of our robots. Our score makes us the 22nd ranked  alliance (elementary) in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the end of the team work challenges we were sitting in 7th (on 494 points, highest of any NZ team), making us the 4th ranked alliance, with team 10300A Ashland Robotics.

San Jacinto Monument. Is taller than the Washington DC monument and the world's tallest masonry column. Topped with a 220 ton star to commemorate the battle of San Jacinto. If the Texans lost the battle, Texas would now be part of Mexico.

Yes there were squirrels in the trees in Houston. And yes, they do throw nuts down at you just like in the cartoons!
