Teach The Teacher

On Monday the 8th, Jorja taught the class how to make origami book marks following some simple easy steps. Here is a  picture of some fantastic Room T students making theirs. These were exceptionally cool.

RDA Super Stars!

Gemma, Steve and Jai attend RDA each Friday. This is a horse riding opportunity that they are very lucky to have. An incredible staff of volunteers make it possible. Today was their last session and they were awarded these sashes.

Creative Coding

                                                              Creative Coding!
On Wednesday, Mr Ward introduced Room T to a website called Khan Academy! It's a helpful website that can teach you how to draw pictures using special commands! One of its features is hour of code. Its a Feature where you can have an hour of learning things that you can do with code! Here is some pictures of Room T doing some coding! The next step would be to create animations using code.

Water Rockets

WATER ROCKETS                                                                                                                HOW FUN IS YOUR TEACHER?  On Monday the 7th of December for homework we  made water rockets  and to test how  high they went Mr Ward brought his bottle rocket launcher. Ella's and Mr Ward's rockets went the highest. Mr Wards one dug into the ground and when we took it out the lid for the nose cone was gone . Ella's one went so high it created clouds - I was so amazed. I thought Mr Ward's one was going to hit me in the head because  I pulled the string and I had to run back.        By Georgia

Teach the Teacher

Teach the teacher                                  Recently in Terrific Room T we have been doing teach the teacher, which is a series of  children organizing something to teach the class. So far we have had "origami" along with"how to pass a rugby ball" and many different activities in between. I taught the class how to draw a cartoon cat and then accessorize it. Celebration Term 4

Thank you to Ms Caske, Mr Wheeler and Mrs Mackie for our celebration treat for Term 4. Due to the building we could not have our usual celebration at the Makino so they thought outside the square and bouncy fun was what we had!

Guess Who?

These two little cuties are sisters from the Senior Team. Have you worked out who they are yet? Hint the younger sister is in Rm I, the older in Rm T.

Having trouble with putting the picture into this post!? Ms Finlayson and Ms Ellis tried to help me but no luck so far. So until we resolve the picture issue this is it sorry!

Is it a dinosaur, is it a moa, could it be human?

Nathan and Brenden were exploring Kowhai Park and found a large section of an unknown animal skeleton. It required a scuba effort to retrieve it as it was in the pond. They have decided that it is part of an animals vertebrae and they think from the size it might be a cow.
