PLANT TO PLATE

Manchester Street was very lucky to be part of Plant to Plate in November and Room H was VERY lucky to one of the 4 classes selected to participate.  How lovely it was to see Mrs Duker again.  We had a very busy morning working in the garden and cooking lunch.  We learned heaps about growing our own vegetables and cooking our own healthy food.  Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped us.

Teach The Teacher

My Made-up Language
Last Friday, on Enviro day, I was the teacher. I taught Room H the made-up language I learnt. The words are:
Lawson Lawson  bo bawson
Banana fanna fo fawson
Fi fo fo fawson.
Lawson!

I really enjoyed everyone singing it in tune because it has this kind of rhythm I really like. I think Ms. Todd and Room H liked it too.                    Lawson

YMCA Sports Stars

On Thursday Room H and the other senior classrooms do YMCA Sports Stars. Every week each class goes to the Scout Hall or out on the court to learn or improve sport skills. We have a lovely trainer/coach that teaches us skills and at the end we get to play a game. Sometimes it is silent ball or seaweed. We all have so much fun and have learnt lots.  Last week we were learning to shoot at a basketball hoop. It was hard to get the technique right.
